The presenter, Steve Gerkin, has over 50 published essays and four books. Gerkin graduated from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA (January 2022), with an MFA in Creative Writing. His latest book, Echoes of Light: Images into Writing, won the 2024 Oklahoma Book Award for Design and is sold by Amazon, Magic City Books, and Fulton St. Books. Books purchased at Tuesday Talks can be signed.

Gerkin discusses basic tips for getting started and developing your writing skills. His informal talk is perfect for anyone with a passion for writing who is curious about overcoming self-doubt, building a writing routine, staying motivated, being published, and enjoying self-discovery.
